Want to be the
Lighthouse Keeper
for the night?
Smygehuk Lighthouse is just a few hundred meters away from the quaint Smygehamn, an old fishing harbor. Easy access to public transport routes from Trelleborg and Ystad and is situated on the main pathways for walking, cycling and riding.
Our accommodation
Lighthouse Keepers Cottage
Right next to the lighthouse you have the Lighthouse Keepers Cottage which has nine rooms โ double and family sized, and a kitchen for self service. There is a large garden for play and relaxation with fresh sea breezes and amazing views inland, along the coast and out to sea especially when you are at the top of the lighthouse.
We are busy creating our dream
The Red Sails Restaurant
In the Master of the Lighthouse house, which was built in the early 1920โs, we are planning to open the Red Sails Restaurant. In a cozy and intimate venue with only 25 seats, guests from all over the world are served delicious dishes based on local ingredients in season. Red Sails Restaurant's concept and vision will be to refine local ingredients in the very best way into rustic country style dishes. We will focus on using only the best of what is on offer from local small-scale producers. The creative flavors of the food will be inspired by both the Swedish and French cuisine and presented in a precise, relaxed, and informal way. We aim to give new life to many of the well-known and beloved dishes and ingredients - and create something unexpected and exciting. Our menu is a tribute to the beautiful south of Sweden.
Our cafรฉ & shop
Tudehuset - the foghorn house
The old foghorn house or โTudehusetโ is now serving as our cafรฉ & shop. This is also where we have our reception. Here we serve Swedish โfikaโ, freshly baked cakes and hand made seasonal ice cream. We also have an exclusive selection of locally produced arts and crafts and our own very special merchandise. โTudehusetโ has seats in a cozy environment, both indoors and outdoors, and no table reservation is needed . You are warmly welcome to drop in.
